More capable than adults of imagining, learning and inventing: there is no doubt that children have no rivals when it comes to\u00a0curiosity<\/strong>, an interest in everything that is new and still unknown to them.<\/p>\n

This is why we, at\u00a0Pedon<\/strong>, who have made curiosity one of our founding values, choose to turn to them, with the intention of promoting the concept of\u00a0healthy and balanced nutrition<\/strong>\u00a0while creating value for the future. We therefore invite the little ones to embark on a journey to discover the nutritional qualities and benefits of\u00a0pulses<\/strong><\/a>,<\/span>\u00a0grains<\/strong><\/a><\/span>\u00a0and\u00a0seeds<\/u><\/strong>, as fundamental raw materials for the energy and nutritional needs of all ages.<\/p>\n

This goal has been achieved thanks to \u201cIn viaggio con Pedon<\/strong>\u201d (On a journey with Pedon), a food education project launched successfully last year which will be repeated this 2023 seeing as how successful it was.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

How 'In viaggio con Pedon' unfolds<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

To best interest children of all ages involved in the project, the\u00a0Experience School<\/strong>\u00a0of Pedon has thought of\u00a0creating recreational and interactive activities<\/strong>\u00a0through which children become familiar with raw materials, learning about\u00a0micro and macronutrients<\/strong>\u00a0and the surprising\u00a0properties of pulses<\/strong>,\u00a0grains<\/strong>,\u00a0and seeds\u00a0<\/strong>while understanding how to turn them into the protagonists of their meals thanks to the suggestions and recipes that entice them to eat them.<\/p>\n

Pulses, grains, and seeds thus become true superheroes for them,\u00a0friends of health and the planet<\/strong>!<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Leisure and recreational activities: the partnership with Pleiadi<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

To allow the little ones to know these elements of nature by igniting their curiosity and encouraging the exchange of ideas, the\u00a0recreational and interactive activities<\/strong>\u00a0of our\u00a0Pedon Experience School<\/strong>\u00a0have been designed together with\u00a0Pleiadi<\/strong>, project partner for the creation and development of the educational path.<\/p>\n

An organisation committed to all-round education through workshops for schools, editorial educational projects and events, Pleiadi uses a method called\u00a0Experimental Logical Processing (Elaborazione Logico Sperimentale \u2013\u00a0<\/em>ELS). The acquisition of skills is not based on passive learning, but by trial and error,\u00a0through experience<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The explainer guides this process, by asking new questions instead of just answering them, and by stimulating reasoning, curiosity, and passion around pulses and grains instead of providing solutions.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

In 2022 we, at Pedon, involved\u00a01.500 students<\/strong>\u00a0from the third, fourth and fifth\u00a0primary school<\/strong>\u00a0in the Vicenza area, and this year we are ready to ignite the curiosity of another\u00a02.500 children<\/strong>\u00a0by increasing the classes taking part in the initiative.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The \u201cIn viaggio con Pedon<\/strong>\u201d project is part of a\u00a0broader path<\/strong>\u00a0of\u00a0sustainability and social responsibility<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0that sees our company committed, in several respects, to support the community and promote the concept of healthy and balanced nutrition, starting from the young generations. Our company has always paid great attention to the\u00a0economic and cultural<\/strong>\u00a0growth<\/strong>\u00a0of the territory in which it is located. We are aware of the\u00a0important role that companies play in society<\/strong>\u00a0and we believe that\u00a0food education<\/strong>\u00a0is a key element in the training process of each individual.
