PEDON: EUROPEAN LEADER IN PULSES
HISTORY
In 1984 Pedon, after an experience of 20 years in wholesale grocery,
launches its first line of dried pulses and cereals. At the end of the 80s Pedon expands into new areas of
business such as dried mushrooms and ingredients for dessert and bakery, through the acquisition of 2
small companies in the Vicenza region. In 1998 the opening of the new plant in Molvena
allows the unification of all 3 business areas with substantial logistic and management benefits. At that moment
the Company disposed of 7.000 covered sqm, 30 workers, a HACCP
control plan and an internal quality control system. In 2000 Pedon achieves the ISO certification and the organic
production certification. In 2002 a new corporate redesigning produces the new Pedon and
Dall’Oglio Group. A sustained and continuous development has enabled the firm to become a leader in
its sectors, with an annual growth rate of 18% between 1985 and 2008. It now employs 750
people worldwide in 7 factories with a supply network extending to 10 countries
in 4 continents.
